A question regarding the RPU

Hi,

This might seem like a very dumb and stupid question, but is it possible to just buy the RPU (and not the actual console) and program and run the shows using the offline editor?

We are a touring company and a rental house and carrying the entire console everywhere is very cumbersome and unwise. I believe GrandMA allows this type of usage

The Eos and Ion RPUs are both 'full' consoles able to run as Master - in fact, many sites use the RPU as the Primary Master and the 'console' as the backup.

So you can indeed program the shows by any means and then run them from an RPU - this is the usual way that Eos family consoles are used in architectural and theme park lighting control settings.

(Note that the Offline Editor, Client and RVI are not consoles, they can't run a show alone.)
