Querying channels based on timing

I've sussed out that, in Blind, I can use Query to construct channel selections based on discrete timing stored in cues (e.g. BLIND .. CUE x ENTER ... QUERY TIME y ENTER will give me the channels recorded in cue 'x' with a discrete fade time of 'y' seconds). I can then modify this time with AT TIME z ENTER to change the discrete timing to 'z' seconds. So far, so good.

But .... how come I can't seem to do any of this in Live? What I'd like to be able to do in LIve is something like QUERY CUE x TIME y ENTER, AT TIME 'z' ENTER, UPDATE ENTER to select all the channels in cue 'x' which have a discrete fade time of 'y' seconds, change that to 'z' seconds and update it back into the cue (with the option to omit the 'CUE x' element of the query if the cue I want to alter is the current cue. Is that possible? If so, how?!

As an extension of this, what about the ability, in Live, to use Query to select any channels within a cue which have a discrete time (fade or delay) attached to them, regardless of what that time may be?

  • Just tested this out on the OLE- in blind if you Query Time (with no number entered) it will select every channel with discrete timing.

If you do it in live it will select every channel (and claim an empty channel list if given an actual value which I'm sure is what you've encountered).

The Query Time problem in live feels to be a bug to me- hopefully one of the ETC Team will be able to take a look at that.
