Clearing zeros in ION

So how do you clear manual (red) zeros from channels?  Using sneak will take everything back to its original state and rid manuals, but to clear the whole list, say channel 1 - 75 using out makes zeros, using 0 of course makes zeros and using at enter makes zeros.

Now zeros get recorded in scenes.

I would hope some day using OUT actually clears the channels, not just puts them in a zero state.

  • This is the underlying nature of the desk.  The LTP/HTP winner from your active playbacks are always present, unless there is a manual override.  If you do not want this information, when storing you can use select active to only store the channels that are above zero - or remove your playback contributions from the stage prior.   But when you set a channel to zero, and you are overriding an active playback value, the desk needs to know that.   If that information were not present, and you were to store a cue, the previous values would track into that cue and be present on stage the next time you played the cue back.

Now, one could say that perhaps storing to a submaster should ignore zero values... but with LTP subs, there may be times when you want to make sure you are taking a contribution from other sources out.

    Hope that helps.
