ION focus pallet

Here's what happened.  I can't duplicate it so don't know how I got it there but maybe someone does.

I started creating focus pallets.  One called "Keyboard".  When I select the fixture(s) and select Keyboard the fixture(s) goes to that position however begin a very tight what looked like either a circle or square effect.  It just ever so slightly started rotating pan/tilt.  I attempted to shut off all effects but no success.  I finally just deleted that pallete and recreated it.


Ehhhhhhh??????

  • Could you have accidentally recorded a focus effect into that palette? Are there any macro functions on the moving light that would have caused this?

    Hard telling what I did however I did go back and do a all home through the ML control and it didn't go away and the ML control was all I was using.  It's a mystery.

    If I recorded an effect into the palette would that show anywhere and do effects get recorded like that?  It was also such a tiny circumference that I wondered about that as well.  Later I tried a couple of the effects and they were much more exagerated.  But who knows.

    Too bad the undo list clears when saving. I could have gone over that list to try to find something.

    Hope it doesn't happen again.  But human factor, well what can I say.

    If you look at the focus palette in blind it should show an effect on the channels in question. Alternatively, holding down [Data] while in Live & the channels are referencing that focus palette should show the underlying data.
