Scroller added to Submaster

When I initially set up our patch for our new Ion, I separated the scrollers (invidivual channels) from their intensity (one channel for 3 fixtures). I built a submaster for our fader wing to control only the intensity channel.

Someone came through after me and patched the scollers as separate parts under the original intensity channel (pt1->intensity, pt2-4->scrollers).

Now, when we move the submaster on the fader wing the scrollers immediately snap to open white and we have fader control of the intensity. I have tried making the submaster an intensity master, but the color still changes.

Any ideas?

  • Intensity Master won't really solve the problem - you need to remove the parameter (scroller) data from the sub. Fortunately, this is relatively easy!

Go to Blind, then hit [Sub][Enter]. You should now be in a Blind view of the data in one of your Submasters - probably the last one that was created. You can use Next/Last just like Cue Blind. Note that double-hitting [Sub] will give you a list of all of your Subs, and S6/Edit will take you to this exact same display.

In this view, you can use [At][Enter] to remove unwanted data. So, for example, you could type [1][Thru][5]{Color}[At][Enter] - this will remove all of the Color data from these channels. You could even just say {All NPs}[At][Enter], which will remove all of the non-intensity parameters from the Sub. Repeat this for all of the Subs with this rogue information.

    Hope that helps-
