Ion computer client mirror mode

Hi

We've been trying to get our ion to connect to the laptop so we can view things in mirror mode.  We're running from the ion to a netgear router then from the router wirelessly to a macbook pro running the software.  We've managed to configure it so the client can see the desk but when trying to connect it just times out then fails. Wondering if anyone knows how to overcome this?

Thanks!

  • I have not tried setting up a computer in mirror mode yet, but are you running the Ion into the WAN port (usually plug a cable/dsl modem into that port) or the LAN port on the router? The first time I ran a wireless router for a visiting designer I plugged into the WAN port and it cause some issues. I believe the router was trying to connect to the outside world and since it couldn't it would not work correctly. I switched to the LAN port and it then worked.

Another thing to check are the network settings on the console and the computer you are trying to connect. If you can let everyone know what the console network settings are, and what your computer network IP and subnet are then they may be able to troubleshoot a little better.
