It allows you to have a display in the CIA that by default isn't the browser. I've found it's useful to have direct selects there, or the encoder display.
This Favorite will also record as part of your snapshots - so, you might want to have the CIA as your Favorite whilst setting up your Palettes and Presets, but the ML Controls when programming, or a Direct Select.
