On Oct 9, 2007 I started a thread titled "Wish list for future versions". In it I asked for back-lit keys. Now, with Gio, my wish has come true. Now, after using the EOS for several years, I have a new request. First off, let me say that I love love love the direct select touch screens. As any designer will tell you, after 8 hours of calling number after number, the brain becomes mush.
The labeled selects, be they groups, colors, effects, etc., frees me from saying "channels 51 through 58 at 80%, frame 6". Now I can say Scroller Set 1 at 80%, blue. This is really a big deal because it allows me to think in terms of actual things and their attributes rather than memorized numbers associated with them.
Now. Here's the request. As the selects are filled and labeled, it can be difficult for both me and my operator to find that button labeled "Ramp 1 White". If it were possible to right-click my mouse in the button and assign it a color, then like-grouped items could all be colored the same and the information stands out much better.
I tried this using an excel spreadsheet to mimic how it looks and the difference is huge. I can't post it here but try it. I assume that the buttons are entities that have attributes so is it possible to allow us to change the entity "color"?
