exiting to shell leads to fader wing not responding

I needed to get some information from the shell on my console in the middle of the day (console name). I was under the impression that if I exited to the shell and did not make any change that the DMX output would continue. When I restarted the Console the leds on the fader wing started to blink intermittently and the fader wing stopped responding in a timely manner.  I would move sub faders and the LEDs would blink and the submaster would not respond or it would lag or even freeze.

I'll try a reboot when I get a chance and a copy of the log files but...

thanks

  • There's no reason why the wing shouldn't work again as normal when the Ion app is running again.

What do you mean by a submaster lagging or freezing?

  • As I moved the submaster the % on the LCD screen and the console would not change or start to change and then stop before the submaster completed its move, then I would get the blinky LED and the arrow indicating which way to move the submaster.  Sometimes the fader wing would not respond at all.

Also all of the LEDs indicating that the fader was loaded would blink once intermittently.

At the end of the night I turned the system of and back on again and the problem seems to have gone away.

I grabbed the log files if this helps.

Also when I exited to the shell and then restarted the console the it appears that the DMX stopped for a split second (all the lights flashed).

    Thanks
