Can someone help me create a macro that will shutdown my console?
Hi. To do this, you need to learn the macro from Live:
Learn Macro N Enter.
Click on the controls in the brower to power down as you normally would. When trying to store CIA components to a macro, it is most helpful to already have that tool displayed. So, if you have something else in the CIA, make sure you change to the browser before learning the macro. Confirm the power down in the CIA as per normal procedures. The desk will shut down, and the macro will be stored. It will look a little weird if you view the command sequence in the blind macro editor (so you probably want to label it as your shutdown macro). But it works. We are changing the text that will appear in the editor so it is more apparent what the macro does.
Hope that helps.

It worked!!!! Thanks
I am absolutely a nobody however thought I might interject something that may or may not be true. I was told that when in the macro set up mode every single key stroke goes into the maco, so if a key is hit by accident then the clear key or delete key, etc are used that all goes to the macro as macro steps when stored. So if that is true then even more important to make sure all your ducks are in a row before beginning the macro commands; ie; CIA browser open showing power off console and be very careful to key in the correct commands or don't save it. If this is not true then never mind and sorry for the info. :-)

Macros learn what you tell them to learn. Sometimes clear states are learned in macros, therefore the desk makes no attempt to try understand what it thinks your intent is. It will replay what you tell it to reply. So, yes, having your ducks in row is a wise choice.
