Suggestion: Notes field for cues

What do other users think:  Would it be fantastic if in addition to the label function for a cue if there was a "Notes" function. Could be an indented line beneath the cue on the display.  Would allow for say, 300 or so char max.  Just enough to put something like:  Actor X walks from DS Right to US Left, add breakup slowly.

or the like.  You can do it on the iRFR software on iPad, can you add it to the desk's pls?  Would be amazing!

  • I actually think this is a great idea and was thinking of suggesting something similar. Especially with the iPad cue list being so useful, it would be great to have a description field that can hold information useful to a designer while the label field can be for operation notes (act breaks, sub movements, backups, etc).

The corollary is I would love a way to import/merge notes from an excel cue list (matching cue numbers) as well as export cue notes.

  • I like the idea of having a notes section, especially if it would sync up with ipad irfr notes, although I'd rather have it as a separate tab rather than taking up another line underneath the cue in the playback status display. I'm quite fond of the way I format and organise the cues and having a designer put in 300 characters in-between cues could be annoying.
