Online Client Mac

Hi there we're having some problems trying to get the client to work on our Macs with Ion. When loading the software on the computer it connects to the desk then always fails at the sync stage and displays 'Sync failed try again' or words to that effect. We use the iPad with the desk and that works perfectly. Wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to resolve this.

Both desk and software are running the same version and the router is set to static IP.

Hi Tom,

Something else to throw into the mix, I've also had issues running the Mac Client software on a different user account to the one it was installed on. This threw up the same issue you're having as well. May be a different issue here, but worth passing on!

Thank you for your responses we managed to solve the issue by updating to 1.9.8 although it only works on one machine is this the case that you can only run one machine at a time?

You can have several clients connected to the console. However, the thing to examine would be IP addresses -- each machine needs its own unique IP address in order to communicate, and duplicates could cause one or both computers to be unable to connect. Also, if the address of a computer is out of the ETC recommended range, you may also encounter difficulty.
