Is there any way to record a cue or a sub so that when it is activated ALL fixtures, devices, etc. that are NOT supposed to be on will go to zero or out? For instance, you have channels 1 - 20 at full. You have movers on blue, front line. You have led back lights on blue. All this is in cue 1/1.
While that is still on (fader up) you want to bring up another look to override all which is on. Say channels 1-20 at zero, channels 30 and 31 at full. Movers on green, piano and led back lights on magenta.
So when bringing up the new look, while the current look is still on, the new one would have to cause channels 1-20 to go out. Of course adding 30 and 31 and changing colors and focus positions does work.
I've been told to record everything else in the show that is not wanted in the cue/sub at zero, but that doesn't work because I think zero cant override anything higher.
I've tried both htp and ltp but it doesn't work AND when I record the zeros those channels don't show up on the display, but do show up in the blind spreadsheet.
Is this at all possible? I was able to do that on my old console by either tapping the bump or bringing up that fader. It took hold of everytthing and made all changes. I was actually able to leave that one fader up the whole time while working all other looks and when everthing else was off that fader snapped back on. I'm thinking something like rubberband but just can't quite get it on the ION.
I do a lot of church concerts where bands often times do little talks between songs and it's great to be able to create that "talk" look that is always running in the background and when a song is finished and I bring off that look the "talk" look automatically resumes.
