(Part of this was what I sent to James previously):

The Eos family currently only supports a very limited number of touchscreen options, including Elo's Accutouch and an ETC-branded touchscreen from an older series that is no longer available. While it is technically possible to install drivers for other touchscreens on the console, this is not a supported option -- we can't guarantee that the drivers will work, and we can't support the touchscreen interaction with the console, as it hasn't been tested.  Finally, if the console were to be reimaged or hard drive restored at any point, the drivers would need to be re-installed.
