Hi Gregg-
Once channels are deleted, there is no restore function. You could use [Undo] if you've not yet saved, or load an older showfile.
If you want to import just some channels from an older showfile (a partial import), you can delete the unwanted channels in the source show. This will only re-patch the channels, however - their data will not be in the cues/subs/palettes/etcetera.

Luke,
I figured that some sort of merge would be required to repair the patch. We are not really looking to patch anything to the lost channels, just restore the ability to do so.
Thank you,

Gregg, deleting a channel doesn't impair it's ability to be patched at a later date. If you have deleted a channel, just go into patch and assign it as needed as you would an unpatched channel. If what you are looking to do is restore the graphic around the unpatched channel and make it possible to store data, you can just select the channel range, set its type to dimmer and the channel is effectively restored.

Anne,
Eos tells me "Error: 10000 Patched channel limit exceeded..." which is odd because only a few hundred channels are patched at most. So I deleted channels 4950 through 5000 which then allowed me to restore the missing channels. This all brings me to another tidying up the patch display question, if i unpatch a channel it still leaves the type field filled in, is there a way to clear the type field? Also, this is not on the board that I am using for beta testing it is the board in the Black Box and is 1.9.8.

Hmmm.. can you email me your showfile (anne.valentino@etcconnect.com). We are starting on a rework to patch. One of the things we are adding is an unpatch command... this is between a patch to 0 (which maintains attributes) and a delete. When you send your showfile, if you could be so kind as to remind me of the problem you are having? (Sorry, get a lot of showfiles!)
thanks much!
