"grouping" channels together

I would like to group together a list of channels and then set this "group" to a level in a cue. I understand that ION groups are not associated with levels. This is probably a simple matter, however I have not been able to figure this out.

For instance, channels 1-5 at full, record group one, group one at 50%, record cue one.

I am used to the way groups function on a Colortran Encore XL board.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

The way to do this is as follows.

1 thru 5 record group 1 enter. Then to give them intensity just group 1@50 enter. Then record your cue. Then group 1@full record cue. Groups on this board only hold channel. They do not hold intensity.

The other option is to record an Intensity Palette instead of a Group, in which case you can record a collection of lights along with a level for each.

When using Pallettes the [Recall From] key becomes your closest friend. BTW, palettes can also be used as groups for the purpose of selecting channels using [Group][Intensity Palette] to select all the channels in the palette.
