Intensity master releasing when it hits zero

Say, for example, I have a few moving lights programmed into a sub which is assigned to a fader and set as intensity master. When I move the fader off zero, it 'activates' and sends the movers to where they are programmed to be, and I can fade the intensities up with the fader. Then, when I bring the fader back down to zero I have to hit the flash button to 'release' the fader and send the movers back to where they were previously - is there any way to automate this, so that the fader releases when it's taken back to zero?

  • Gareth, not at the moment.  The intent of the bump button with NPs on an I-Master sub is effectively a "mark".  The fact that when you move the fader, the NPs are placed in their positions is sort of an "emergency" measure, in the event that you didn't mark the lights on that submaster.  Because we don't move things unless there is a need too, when an I-Master sub is returned to zero, the NPs are held at their current level until you unmark them or until they receive a new instruction.

If you use a proportional sub, the NPs can be restored upon release.  It sounds like you are looking for an I-Master on the upfade, but a proportional master on the downfade?
