A Few Bugs?

Just recently I came across these 3 things:

- Unable to use the Enable/Disable function with Mark.

-Unable to write text now in the Text1/4 boxes found in patch, found in the databas tab, used for Querying. It seems to be using the keyboard shortcuts.  My Apologies this works perfectly fine I wasn't pressing  [New Keyword] I was just expecting to be able to type my keywords in as soon as i had click [Text 1],[Text 2],  Sorry

- Effect [X] Thru Thru [Y] seems to only Create Effect X and Effect Y

Apologies if these have already been found.

Thanks

  • Sammy, to be clear, you are saying that you are using automark, but you are not able to disable it on a cue or cue part basis?  If that is the case, can you tell me what you are seeing when you try to disable?  (Automark if enabled in setup is ALWAYS enabled ---- unless disabled at cue level).

Yes, the effect issue is known.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Anne,

    Sorry I wasn't clear enough.

I was writing a macro that would make a part and put a mark flag on it. Something like this:

    [Part] [20] [Enter] [Enter]

    [Part] [20] [Mark] [Enable] [Enter]

[Part] [20] [Label] [Label] [Mark] [Enter]

I wasn't able to use the Enable command in the macro function, the one used for toggle state commands like Park etc. It's no biggy but I just thought it would have been possible.

It just means if I press the macro multiple times on a direct select it will take off/ or put on the mark flag instead of always enabling it on the part..

  • along the lines of bugs

With using the encoders on ION, specifically the pan and tilt, to change from course to fine you used to be able to double click the encoder wheel to toggle back and forth. It seems in version 1.9.8 you can not do that and you have to press shift or go into settings. Is that how it is spouse to be? It we be nice if if you could just double click on the encoder again and not have to hold shift instead.

  • Ion has never had any function built into the physical encoder to go between Course/Fine modes, however in 1.9.9 build 40 there is an option in Desk Settings that allow you to disable acceleration. When this is done, the console is now using a specific Degree/Percentage for rotation (This is user definable). In conjunction with this change, the Shift key now allows you to have course and fine control of parameters in Ion. I would reference the 1.9.9 release notes for additional information.

  • A few other little things I've come across.

    1. When you change an effect, say from a absolute to a step based effect, you loose the label. It would be good to keep it.

    2. When I was recalling AlNIPs from a VL3500 to Mac TW1 I would end up with my TW1 with everything correct except it would be strobing.

3.Am I correct in thinking that the effect doesn't update live updated presets. So for example if I'm using a absolute effect that's referencing to a bunch of presets. If I then update those presets. The effect doesnt update live un-till you stop and start again.
