ION - Update a Cue

Hi,

I have a doubt, I don't know if you can help me.

I am out of cues (gotocue + Out), and I recall a preset to edit it (recallfrom + Preset 3), then I edit it and I want to update it. Normally I would make Update + Enter... but doesn't work. I have to write Update + Preset 3 + Enter. The Ion doesn't recognize that I'm working on Preset 3 and updates directly with Update + Enter. Why is not working this way? I should edit the cue in another way? It is something not implemented to the sofware?

You need to use Last Ref. When you hit update, there is a tile in the CIA (on the upper right) that says {Last Ref} and then you will see your preset listed in the target column. (There is also a {Last Ref} softkey which may be easier if you don't have touch screens.

But if you want this behavior most of the time, there is an option in setup (under Desk Settings-->Record Defaults) to make this the default behavior.

Thanks Bob that refreshes my brain...will update last reference if the pallete is set as absolute?

You'll need to specify the Preset if it's absolute. The whole point of an absolute preset is it doesn't create a reference.
