EOS family manuals

Jeff, we understand that the addendums can be hard to keep track of ... this was requested by a majority of our users who didn't want to print out an entirely new manual with each software release.  The manual is scheduled for revision concurrent with 2.0.

An online manual is on our list.  It is not considered on the critical path at this time however.

Addendums are absolutely necessary and printing out an entire manual every time there is a change is definately destruction of the forrest, so I agree completely.  It's just the method of updates that I am hoping for change.  Maybe some users don't want the manual on their console but i'd think that if it is, like the Congo then each time there is an update that section of the included manual could be updated in the software release as well and all that might be necessary is to release a cheat sheet of the changes made.

Online manuals are okay but the internet is not always available at every venue when questions arise.

I realize fully that a manual is not at the top of the list and I concurr fully.

Anyway, thanks Anne and staff for all your hard work and please understand this is only a wish that I will keep wishing for.  :-)

Sorry for the confusion Jeff, I meant "online to the app" not the internet.  Perhaps interactive would be a better word.  We do realize that this would be of benefit to many users and do plan to implement it.  We just have some issues to deal with first that appear to be more important.  Many users find the help system to be useful if they are just trying to remember syntax.  In terms of learning the desks, we have a number of avenues for this, including the manual, video tutorials and the teabreak tutorials in the meantime.
