Setting scroller color using color key?

Before the software update I was able to pick a color on a scroller using the color key.  For example:

[75] [@] [color] [6]

Would set the scroller on channel 75 to frame #6.  But since the software update (1.9.8) I cannot set the scrollers that way.  I have to use the ML controls or encoders whitch I find more cumbersome.

I really liked the old way.  Is there any comparable way to do this on the new software?

I'm using a Ion.

    So when you say [color] you mean that you press the [color] encoder key?

    If that's the case, then you can still do that with the new software, you just have to use the new [shift] key when pressing the [color] key. So, in your example, it would actually be:

    [75] press & hold [Shift] [Color] [6]

    [Shift] was formerly the [Follow/Hang] key in the very bottom left, if you don't have the new keycap set.  So the [Follow/Hang] key is now [Shift]
