ION cues

Created a custom Effect witj some non effect channel intensities before setting cues for a show and recorded it as cue 2/1 for a couple of reasons, one just so it would be handy when I was ready to do the actual cues on list 1.

Later recorded all 72+ show cues on cue list 1.  I noticed a few cues into it that it automatically put cue list 1 on a wing fader.  It did not automatically put list 2 on a fader though.

Different times during recording cues on list 1 and after I finished cue list 1 every time I hit GO it opened and ran 2/1.  Did a Go to Cue Out then selected Cue 1/1 enter.  Hit GO and 2/1 ran.  GTC Out again, did GTC 1/1 enter and 1/1 ran.  Hit GO and 2/1 ran with 1/1.  GTC Out again, Clear, Sneak, Enter.  GTC 1/1 enter and 1/1 ran.  GTC 1/2 enter and 1/2 ran.  GO and 2/1 ran with 1/2.

So when it came time to use 2/1 I ran it and recorded it as cue 1/41.  Now that I had my custom effect cue recorded where I wanted it in list 1, I deleted cue list 2.

Now when I hit Go, even after GTC Out and Clear, Sneak Enter, nothing runs at all.  I do a GTC 1/50 (or whatever cue number I want in list 1) Enter and that cue runs.  When I hit stop/back it looks like it goes to a GTC Out and in the cue list window it puts a gold trim around 1/1.

I can run cue list 1 from the fader, just not the GO.

I know i'm missing something here.  Tech rehearsal tonight.  Dress Wed and shows next two weekends.

  • If cue list 2 was the first list you recorded, it would have been automatically assigned to your master playback.   Selecting a cue on the command line and pressing go doesn't reload what is loaded to your faders.    When cues have been automatically assigned to the fader wing, the bottom button acts as your go button.  The double wide go button on the desk only plays back the cue list that is on your master playback.

It sounds to me like you want to reorder your cue lists.  But I'm not clear on whether you want to run completely from the wing, or use the master fader and the wings.   In any instance, to assign a cue list to a playback, place the list on the command line first, and then you use the Load button to put the content into the playback.  In this particular instance, it would be good to enter "Go to Cue Out Enter" on the command line to remove any active cues from the stage (this is not necessary, but it will be clearer for you to see the results of the actions that follow).

    Cue 1 / Enter (.e.g)

Press the Load button associated with the fader you wish to load cue list 1 on.  On the Master Fader, this is a single button labeled Load - just above the master fader controls.  On the wings, the Load command is called by pressing both buttons below the associated slider simultaneously.

When a cue list has been loaded in this manner, the first cue in the list is placed in the pending file.   You will know that this operation has been successful from the following indicators:

On the playback status display, the first cue in the cue list that you just loaded to the master playback will be shown in the middle of the display, on the field called "master".  Content of wings will be shown either/or just below this (if loaded to [page 1) and/or in the LCD associated with the faders?
