Maintenance in Settings

After entering the shell & clicking o maintenance, at the bottom there is firmware update. how does this work. i have click on the firmware, then above i click on update i/o firmware. nothing seems to happen. it shows two files below in the firmware update. also the update button all the way on the bottom will not illuminate? any ideas? thanks

The button will only illuminate when there is firmware which you can load into something in the list.

It has been used to update the firmware in the Fader wings and the face panel of the EOS but that is it I believe.

I think the release notes of each software version will let you know if you need to update anything otherwise you can ignore it.
