Setting exact DMX level for a 16bit channel

Hello, I need to set and record exact DMX levels for a channel I have patched as a 16bit generic dimmer.  (Video control)

I can set intensity to one one  thousandth of a percent and can see the two channel resulting output in the About display.

Can I say something like CH1 at DMX 3240 and record that? 

I can't find a Course / Fine option related to intensity, but this would at least have me talking DMX levels not percentages.

    Absolutely - you'll want to type the following in Live:

    [1] [@] [/] [/] [3240] [Enter]

    The double [ / ] key gives you the ability to enter a DMX value directly.

     

    Alternately, if you need to enter the DMX values directly all the time, you could create a custom 16-bit dimmer profile where the user min and user max ranges are 0-65535 -- this would let you enter the 16-bit values directly without the need for typing the slash each time.
