Show file from EOS to ION console?

The Ion can handle a maximum of 3000 outputs so if your show file is larger than this it will only control the first 3000 outputs.

Also a Ion comes standard with 1000 outputs so you will have to upgrade the Ion if you require upto 3000 outputs if it hasn't already been upgraded.

This is not an absolute requirement for show file loading via USB drive.  Show files created in any version higher than 1.4 will not be able to be opened in v1.4 and below- but v1.4 is already several years old, so it's unlikely that you'd run in to a console in the field that still has that version.

I often get show files from designers that were saved on EOS or ION consoles a year or two ago.  Those files are several sw versions out of date and they have all loaded fine.

However, if you are using a network to connect two or more devices (consoles/RVIs/RPUs), then they must be running the same software version to be able to talk to each other.

Yes but again this start with 2000 outputs so it will need to be upgraded if you have a higher output show.

The only exception within the Eos family is with Element. If it is a fairly simple show you will get most of your data, however there are a few features not supported in Element such as multiple cuelists, Presets, discrete timing, referenced marking.

Yes, Eos, Ion and Gio show files are fully transferable subject to output and channel count limits.
