ION - LED's come on after shutdown

Using most current version software. Running Chauvet QWash 560Z LED's and Chauvet Sparklite LED drapes. When I shut the console down any variety of things have happened:

All lights stay off

Some Washes come on in strobe mode

Yesterday all the Washes came on full white for a shor time then some went into strobe while the rest remained on full white

One time one of the 8 banks of led's in the drapes came on.

The most common has been the washes going into a white strobe mode.

I have to shut off power to the fixtures to stop it.

One quick fix: unplug the DMX cable(s) from the console before shutting down. Replug once it's completely off.

It may be that the Chauvet's have some sort of standalone mode that starts up whenever they lose DMX. Check the manual to see if they have such a mode, and if so, how to disable it. It might be as simple as making sure none of them are set to "MASTER".

I actually have this problem. Ive been told to pull DMX from the back of the board before shutting down but sometimes that triggers the ghosting also! My fix was to set my dimmers to hold last look for 5 minutes. This way by the time I get my stuff together they shut off.
