Element changing pages

so is it me?  want to change pages.  Thats a softkey Page Subs (s6).  I understand to get there it needs to be in Live.  Hit the Live key and get Rate, Manual, Follow, etc group of soft keys.  Hit Blind then Live and get Select Last, Select Active, etc group which includes Page Subs.  Hit Live again and it goes back to Rate, Manual, etc group of soft keys.  Is there an easier way to get to Live with the Select Last, etc group and should there be two groups of soft keys in Live?

  • I'm not sure if I follow, but [More SK]?  This is the More Sofkeys button and will populate the softkeys with anything that doesn't fit on the initial softkey page.

    Hope that helps.

  • I think I know what is going on now.  Softkeys change in relation to what you are doing so that they are relevant to your current command.  The Select Last, Select Active, etc. group is the default for a clear command line.  Rate, Manual, etc. are the softkeys related to cues.  SO, when you hit [Live] when already in Live, it posts your current cue on the command line.  This is why you see Rate, Manual, etc.  The easiest way to get back to Select Active, etc. is to just hit [Clear] to get an empty command line.

If you input a channel number, you'll notice you get even another set of softkeys.  That is the beauty/purpose of softkeys.  They can be so many different things depending on your current situation, you don't need to take up so much desk space with a hardkey for everything.

    Does that answer your question?
