Effect tracking through whole show

Hello,

Today I had it happen that an absolute effect tracked through the entire show. This happened to me a while ago (1.9.10 probably) but I just assumed that I had done something stupid and forgot about it, I never actually witnessed it as it happened just before a show which I wasn't opping and had left

Today it happened again and I can't get my head around what I did. The circumstances were that I was editing a cue which had an absolute effect in it. I updated my intensity changes (none of which were effecting) and carried on. I later noticed that this effect was tagged on to every cue through the rest of my show (about 40 or so cues.) What's strange is that it had gone through blocks and intensity blocks. Looking in blind it looked as if the effect wasn't on any channels in the subsequent cues, it was just showing in the execute column. Although the first time this happened to me it was an absolute effect running a smoke machine which definitely kept going.

Has any one got any ideas what it I could be doing? Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to look at it in greater detail as I was doing notes just before starting a preview.

Eos running 1.9.11

Any help / ideas appreciated.

Cheers,

Andrew

  • Hi - no effects on subs. I'm totally baffled by it. I hadn't done any global updates either.

The show is running five cue lists - can anyone think of how I might have done this with that in mind?

I'm also executing lots of dummy cues on another cue list to send MSC commands to video and sound.

    Cheers,

    Andrew
