Mac 401 profile issues

Hi-

 

Has anyone had any issues with the Mac 401 wash profile on he ion, specifically, does anyone know how to get the console to fade between the pre-programmed colors that the fixture is equipped with.   When I have tried using these in the past,  and you try to fade between presets, the fixture acts as if it is moving a color wheel (like that of a non-led moving light).  Does anyone know how to remedy this??  Does this sound like a profile issue, or a problem with the way the colors are programed into the firmware of the lamp itself-

  • If I remember correctly, the intention of the MAC LED index modes is to resemble a color wheel.  I think the color even sweeps across the face of the fixture when switching from one index to another.

    I am guessing that you are talking about the Color Mix values.  I haven't used that exact fixture but you can edit how Eos controls the Color Mix parameter.  Color Mix is a Snap parameter so Eos is going to snap to the next value when a cue is executed instead of fading.  This can be overridden by giving the Color Mix parameter a discreet time in that cue or create a copy of the fixture profile and disable the Snap feature, then using that copied profile.
