Gio monitor arangement

Our customer using Gio in a unit with different 3 monitors(Accer19Wide/IO-Data22Touch/Iiyama22Touch) which has been working strange each power-up the Gio console, we have now moved the Gio to the backup desk where we only have single monitor and We are having trouble getting Gio to see them.

The monitor and the cable are fine but Gio will only identify Mon 3, in the set up the other 2 appear as disabled.

I have quite erratically mamanged to get 2 to work but they are not stable and 1 keeps dropping out but not always the same one.

I have experienced similar problems before changing between 2/3 monitors but we have always got it sorted.

Anybody have any ideas or suggestions.

  • Aki, I'm confused.     You said that when Gio had three monitors connected, they were working strangely.  Can you please tell us what this means?

You moved Gio to a backup and connected only one monitor.  Were you able to get that monitor working?

One thing to keep in mind with Windows 7 is that the monitors may not always be identified by the port you plug them into. So you might plug a monitor into DVI1, but it shows up as monitor 2 (e.g.) in the monitor config tool.  This is an issue with Windows 7 that Microsoft has no intention of addressing, as far as we can tell.  As such, you need to configure the displays as they are recognized within the config tool, not as they are physically plugged in.  Is this part of what you are seeing?

If you can email us the logs from Gio along with some idea of the date/time that you saw a problem, we will look into this.  But can we ask for a clearer explanation of the problem.  Thanks so very much!

  • Thank you for your quick reply, Anne!!

Our customer is connecting the respectively different monitor to three DVI ports of Gio.

Whenever it starts-up, sometimes recognizes a monitor and sometimes does not recognize.

Multiple monitors need to be set up for every starts-up of Gio.

Although the deep clear function was recommended to the customer, there is no good report.

    Thank you,

  • Can you please email the logs to eos@etcconnect.com?

    Thank you!
