Strand Import | Freeze Effect >> new allPreset

Normal 0 21 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

Hi,

i have a problem with a effect from a StrandImport.

In the Strand the effect is like a chaser with special pan/tilt and different color information.
The devices are RGB-LED with Pan/Tilt.

In the EOS the effect is also a chaser. But the On-Status is only "(Effect 3 Step 1)"... ???
No more information about the parameter.
The effect is running OK!

First Question:
Is there a simple way to get "deeper" in the effect for changing the parameter?
We are going on a little Tour and i must update the effect with Pan/Tilt.

For the Moment i have change the effect... with a difficult/costly way.
Every 3 steps in 3 allPreset in a "absolut" effect.
On the tour i can change the preset and the effect is ok.

second Question:
is there a simple way to FREEZE the effect and make a allPreset from the Live-Situation?

I try it, but in the new preset i become only the backroundparameter from the cue (without the parameter from the freezed effect-moment).   You understand my english? (-:

hope that somebody have an idea, or experience.

THANKS!!!

  • Hello Mike

There is no way through ASCII for ETC to translate the Strands Effect information into Eos. So the all way around this to remake any effects as you've done.

It does look like you can't record a new preset with the freeze values. But it you set the exit of the effect to Stop and Hold, you can stop the effect and then record the value.

Hope this helps and your English is much better then my German.
