Snapshot problem

I didn't realise that snapshots record within them when recording the faders, loaded cues. Particularly loaded cues on the grandmaster.

I'm kicking myself now for not noticing it.

I always thought of snapshots as looks you wanted to see on the desk. E.g screen layouts. Flexi and format layouts. Fader page displays.

Im sure there are benefits to having sub levels and loaded cues recorded in them to someone. But could we have a feature to just have snapshots as a pure look and display function?

  • Hi Graham.

You are completely right. I had recorded faders into the snapshot as I liked going to a blank fader page at the top of the show. Just so I wouldn't accidentally press one of the fader buttons or rig check cue list by accident.

    All fixed now though.

It would be great to have better control over snapshot. I use them all the time but this has been the first time I've used faders recorded within them. I would certainly love the ability to have snapshots as a purely visual look function. Having control over sub levels and cue playback is something Id like to turn off.

    Thanks for your response

  • I'm not at the desk now but how do I change faders without learning the macro. I tried fader page 2 enter.

  • You have to learn the macro (as it's a Press and Release). Once you've learned it, you can copy the macro and edit the #. I have 30 macros that travel with my showfile (one for each page), so i just copy them to another macro and rename them as necessary.
