Requesting a library item for controlling a Capture workspace using DMX
Hi Mike,
We will need some more information before creating this profile. Are you able to provide the DMX values for the ranges of these parameters?
Best,
Therese
The XYZ and Pan/Tilt/Pitch are all basically 16-bit (0-65535) positional data. In the custom profile that I made, the XYZ all have home values of 50% (32768) which puts the camera just about in the middle of the view window.
At the bottom of the little pasted graphic above, there are values for the layer set and the scene ranges. Essentially 4 bits per slot with a total of 64 slots for each parameter.
14/15/16 Are all 0-100 Intensity parameters.
Hi Mike,
Thank you for the reply! I will submit this information to the Eos team and let you know if they have any further questions. It sounds like you are already using a working custom profile, but please let me know if you need this fixture library patch sooner than 2 weeks.
Best,
Therese
Thanks! No, no rush on it - the custom one I have is good enough for my purposes now, I just don't want to spend time making all the various scene and layer ranges (and I'm sure someone else could use this other than me!)
Also if it's helpful, the controls in Capture that are being controlled by 14/15:
14 - Ambient Lighting Level
15 - Exposure Adjustment
I haven't been able to figure out exactly what 16 controls.
Also, as an addendum to my other comment - the Pan/Tilt/Pitch channels as well as the Exposure Adjustment (15) should also have home values of 50%
Could 16 be the haze?
It's called "Atmosphere" in the Cobalt template, so probably haze.
I thought so, but haze is controlled as a separate object in Capture now.
that is right.did find a template with 18ch. where 17 and 18 was Scene and Layer set. with 64 steps in each.
