fixture profile request for an LED moving head fixture

Hello I need a fixture profile made for a Chinese 60w LED moving head.

The first PDF is of the rotating gobos: gobo 1 is open, gobo 2 is the first image to the top left, next gobo is 3, next is 4 circle with the dots around it. Then 2nd line is 5, Next is 6 which is the pink one, 7  last is the blue one, then 8 is open again.

The PDF with 8 gobos is the static gobo wheel, numbered left to right. The first one is open. number 2 is the first image.

Color wheel is the next PDF the colors are white/open, white/red, red, red/green, green, green/blue, blue, blue/yellow, yellow, yellow/orange,  Orange/violet, violet, violet/lite blue, lite blue, lite blue/white.

  • I agree and it can be worse than that,  I bought a second pair of the same on the outside ones from the same store and with the same DMX chart in the box.

However the actual DMX patch  was significantly different with Pan and Tilt being 16 bit on the original pair and 8 bit on the second pair and then various other bits swapped over.

What was interesting about the one on this post is the DMX chart does match (it looks like exactly) my original pair so I do have a profile for it.

  • Mike, I have found you really have to look at the info where you are buying the fixture from. I won't buy it if they do not post or offer the channel layout. Knock on wood so far these have done well.

Another trick they are doing is saying 60W in their listing but if you look at the info and it might say only 30w LED so they are trying to get people to buy thinking they are getting a 60w LED when they are not.

  • You are definitely right about these all looking alike. And it is true from what I have heard that there is only a few companies that make the parts and the other companies buy there parts and put their name on the fixture. So there are a bunch of the same fixture at different prices. It is crazy.

  • I actually bought them in a physical store and got them unpacked and tested although they only tested them with a typical 16 fader dmx controller. I was in full buyer beware mode !!!

They've actually been reliable (mine are 90W allegedly and look like it comparing with other fixtures) and work well and cost a fraction of the price of the "proper" ones.

Just next time (about to buy 4 more) I'm taking my laptop with Nomads on it to make sure its the same actual dmx profile as the paperwork in the box says it is, as not having fine pan/tilt has been annoying.

I'm looking for to the actual ETC profile as a few of the parameters I couldn't think of anything sensible to match them up with so I have 4 parameters set as  barndoor1 thru 4  that do the more obscure things and just have to remember which one is which!!
