Good morning all. Does anyone know if a fixture profile exists yet for the Arri Orbiter? Thanks.
Good morning all. Does anyone know if a fixture profile exists yet for the Arri Orbiter? Thanks.
It's not in the current fixture library. For fixture request please user the Eos Family Fixture Request forum, attach the full manual and tell ETC with which modes you want to start.
While waiting for the library to be incorporated into the EOS updates, we have created a showfile with all of the Orbiter modes, tested through the Eos. I can share the file with you if you wish. pschulze@arri.com
Hi P Schulze will you shere the Orbiter show file Kind Regard Thomas
Hi Thomas. I'm not sure if profiles are allowed in the forum, but if you shoot me an e-mail, I'd be happy to send you the show file.
thomas@ditzel.dk Thanks
i built my own P6 and all the parameters check out. but CCT doesnt track properly between the GUI in ML controls and measuring with a color meter. have you succeeded in tracking CCT accurately?
also love to see that show file.

Hi, Do you know if the Orbiter is in the latest software release?
Hi, would you mind emailing me your show file?

We have done some work on some of the complex modes (Gel, Source, Ultimate) to better expose some of the Mode Dependent parameters.
If using Calibrated Color in Orbiter, select one of the modes that has a “(Cal)” in the name. Calibrated Mode makes the fixture act like a Virtual RGB, while still using all colors to do so. It hides the A,C,L parameters and adds a W as well as a White Point CCT and Tint channel. Setting the White Point allows you to build RGB to the CCT you set as the White Point. In this mode, RGB at full = your CCT. Conversely, W at Full and RGB at zero ALSO = your CCT. Adding W to your various levels of RGB serves to desaturate the color. IMPORTANT… make sure all of your fixtures' CCT levels are the same in order for fixture colors to match one another. Orbiter has separate Calibrated White Point and WP Tint Channels, while SkyPanels use the CCT/Tint channels on the White side of the Color Crossfade to set the Calibrated White Point. The default CCT of all of our profiles has been set to 3200K
Setting your White Points to the same one used by the camera will make your life so much easier when trying to determine correct color representation. Ask your VC where they are balancing the cameras. Also great for live event iMAG situations.

Issue has been resolved in current files
Just had a look at these. DANG PTSchulze! That's a huge amount of work! Thanks for taking that on. We'll drink in your honour tonight!
Amazing! Thanks a million.
Cheers! Let me know if you are going to be at LDI. Stop by the ARRI Booth.
Yes, the Arri Orbiter was added to the Eos Fixture Library.
