Hello!
I was trying out Clay Paky Mini-B and Prolights Stark 400 on EOS 2.9 and 3.0. Both fixtures supposed to have the same Osram LED source. The color calibration looks also the same in the desk but unfortunately the colors are completely wrong on both. Would it be possible to correct those fixture files on 2.9 as my client have an old ION which doesn't support 3.0.
Thank You in advance!
Kalle
Could you confirm the fixture library version running on both 2.9 and 3.0? If they are not the latest, please update to the latest and check again (you may need to update the existing patch as well for this).
The library that I need fixture files for is 2.9 as the client has this old XP based ION. I tried the fixtures also with nomad 3.0 on my pc but the behavior is the same, wrong colors.
When we where trying those fixtures out we did downloaded the most latest fixture library's for both, 2,9 and 3.0.
Could you please look in ABOUT on each console and document the full fixture library version listed for us here?
Dear Saranow, do You mean library version numbers? For 2.9 the library version number is 2.9.0.45 and for 3.0 the library version number is 3.0.0.107
Hello, KalleThe lastest library for v3.0.0 is 3.0.0.129. The latest for the XP is now actually 2.9.2.1, and the last for 2.9.1 was 2.9.1.72, so I think what Beck is trying to say is that if you update these libraries you will find the fixtures you need. https://www.etcconnect.com/Products/Consoles/Eos-Family/Eos-Ti/Software.aspx Software can be found at this link and you can run the update to resolve. If running the latest you still see color issues please let us know.
Hello, SaranowI have just downloaded the latest 3.0.0.129 and compared the values for older versions and there is no change to this. The colors are still wrong.
and to confirm you re-patched so that you were using the new profile? Otherwise it still reference the old. Another method is to go into patch>{Fixtures} and choose {Update} for the fixture to push the new profile.
Yes, I installed the new fixture library and took completely new show. Tried it with those fixtures and they where acting exactly the same, colors are wrong with those fixtures.
Thank you so much. We will continue to look into this on our end and see what can be done.
Hello, Kalle! We did some more digging and found that there isn't fixture specific color calibration data in the system for either of these units- rather they are using a generic RGBW calibration that we have developer. This may be causing your issues in the picker if these fixtures use a specific source. You can disable this by going to Patch>{Fixtures} and then selecting the profiles and unchecking the box for "Use Calibration." We cannot promise this will resolve the issue as we don't have access to these fixtures, but it may be worth trying.
Dear Saranow! Tried it without calibration, the result is the same. Although, if I take the color parameters from Robe LED BEAM 150 and force them manually to Mini-B and Stark400 the result is much better, not ideal but better.
