The Goal:
To have a group of fixtures controlled by an intensity master cue list fader whilst having the ability to layer on an intensity effect (that oscillates between Full and Bkgrd levels) for that group of fixtures using a submaster and have it interact in a HTP manner. As the Int Master fader is pulled down, the intensity effect starts to show up on stage.
Currently the intensity master fader when used like this does not allow for proper HTP. Eos is comparing the cue list value of full or 50% when brought down from the intensity master to the value of null in the submaster and thus the effect isn't taking control over the fixture. When using another Sub or the temporary fader then the playing field is correct for proper HTP control.
Why is this important?
Often times a lighting fixture needs to do more than one thing. This unlocks the ability to build an additive style busking showfile where fader bump buttons can cycle through Non-Intensity Parameter data and the corresponding handle controls intensity whilst another fader(submaster) can be used to layer on intensity effect accents. Temporary Target Lists already exhibit this HTP behavior but lack the ability to move non-linearly through the list, track along with a touchscreen selections and run discreet timings that cue lists do so well.
