As of right now I don't believe there is a way to adjust the horizontal or vertical scale of linear effects without physical encoders. Focus effect scales can be adjusted in the Effect Status Display, but I can't find a matching feature for linear effects either in the Effects tab or in the ESD.
Adding this feature would help feature parity between Nomad and full-console setups.
