Hey guys,
This is a request for a specific situation. Very often a gaffer will ask me to set an A and a B focus palette with movers to then move between in an effect. That’s easy enough with an absolute effect using focus palettes. However, the one thing absolute effects can’t seem to do is replicate the sine wave of a linear effect (which is quite noticeable when movers are panning from point a to point b - they have an abrupt stop at each point that isn’t desirable). So it would be great if I could find a way to get that sine wave look with an absolute effect, possibly with a curve. Or another option would be to be able to add focus palettes and presets to linear effects.
Right now my work around is to do a cuelist with parts that have a sine wave style curve, but it’s not as easy to use.
thanks
