Automark Expansion

I would love to see an expansion on Auto Mark to make it, in general, more than an all-or-nothing tool. Obviously I would love it on a list by list basis (https://community.etcconnect.com/control_consoles/eos-family-consoles/i/feature-requests/automark-enable-disable-on-a-list-by-list-basis)  but I think it could do even more than that.

A frequent frustration I have when working with LEDs is dealing with the need to think about marking color in general, specifically when dealing with digital color parameters vs physical ones (LED color vs mechanical flags, for example.)

I would like to be able to somehow flag certain fixtures as well as certain parameters to automark. For example, I would set a Lustr to “always automark” but I might want to set an additive LED mover to “color always automark.”

I recognize there is a veritable can of worms here when it comes to how this data is displayed, managed, and overridden and I don’t have great ideas (yet) on that - but I think it’s at least worth an exploration of what might be possible.

  • To clarify - I think three levels of this is what I'd be looking at:
Fixture Type Level (useful for units with only LEDs)
Channel Level (solves the followspot marking issues I've posed before)
Parameter Level (useful for additive source MLs)
