I often work with multiple lighting fixtures that all use the same colour mixing engine, or are calibrated to the same space. For example, all Color Force IIs use the same colour engine, all Mac Vipers and the Axiom use the same colour engine, and the ARRI Skypanels and Creamsource Vortex 4 and 8 use the same calibrated ANSI E1.54 reference space.
I would like to suggest a feature in the patch, where fixtures can be defined as belonging to the same Colour Family. The console would understand that a colour on Fixture A can be applied identically to Fixture B, with no colour picker translation. Additionally, all fixtures in the Colour Family could reference common data in a colour palette, to reduce redundant by-type data in colour palettes.
