A teatime thought... the console already does this to an extent by visually highlighting the relevant Direct Selects that your channel selection is included in.
It'd be nice to have an additional toggle state (per Direct Select bank) that narrows down and bunches up Direct Selects to only those that currently include that channel, completely hiding all others until you clear a channel selection or until you press Record or Update.
