Hi there,
Recently I had set out to create a gobo wheel for a media server that includes custom thumbnails for the content I have loaded. In this process I have run into a lot of resistance in the gobo wheel editor. Here are my observations:
- There is no batch import of gobos into a wheel, the bigger your wheel is, the longer it takes to create.
- Each time you add a gobo, you get sent back to the main gobo wheel view and where you were in the gobo library is forgotten, each time you go to place another gobo, you are sent back to the generic library, if you are pulling gobos from the custom library, there is many clicks to return to the custom library.
- Gobos in the custom library don't seem to be sorted alphabetically (This may be a bug) I had named my PNGs 001 ABC, 002 ABC, 003 ABC, etc... and when I go to select them they seem to be in a non logical order mixed in with other gobos I had previously imported.
- It would be nice to be able to import gobos into sub folder as is the case with the magic sheet icon tool, it is a lovely interface that allows batch editing, deleting, renaming, and, replacement.
I would like to discuss it further if anyone is interested, this would be a great workflow for media server content if it wasn't so long to import.
Thanks,
Tyler
