Highlight Timing

It would be great if there was an additional manual timing setting for "Highlight Time". Highlighting is one of the most jarring things we do on stage during technical rehearsals, and it would be great if we could fade into the highlight state instead of blinking there.

A large number of designers I program for refuse to use highlight because of this, and it negatively impacts our workflow. The ability to time the change would fully alleviate this issue.

Highlight currently ignores manual timing settings as well, so it's not even possible to use a macro to quickly change those settings before and after highlight.

  • One workaround while waiting for this might be a macro that sneaks them into a highlight palette, and then, a second macro that releases all parameters except for pan/tilt.

  • No I don't think you can. I have 20 moving lights, all with manual data, and I want to highlight to tweak some things now that I've gotten the broad strokes in. If I start using manual data to get them in and out of the highlight rem dim preset, I'm going to lose track of what data was manual from me working on the cue, and what data was manual from my highlight macro.
The console highlight keeps track of that and is much more powerful because of it.
