Case:
Macro 901 (for instance)- being assigned to a Direct Select or TK 10 or any of the buttons on the consoles that have buttons that are assignable. I would like to be able to press on the macro and have it fire then pause and not wait for input or enter but wait for release of the button and have the macro continue. Can be used for lightening strikes, camera flashes, other live events that don't need a cue but need to happen and you don't want to burn a submaster or have any available. Or the button can be used as a dead man switch, the Macro fires the cuelist for an effect, while the operator holds it, the list runs, the effect is happy, as soon as the button is released, the macro stops the cuelist and returns the lights to the mandatory look or background cue.
The other idea is the ability to assign a button down task and a button up task to a TK10 button or Direct Select.
The key is that it is available as a TK10 button not a Sub Bump button due to textile feel and space constraints. This is do able with 3rd party things but the ability to do it IN the desk is paramount.
I could go on with my "why". Thank you for your consideration.
