Macro on Fader Button

Hey,

would it be possible to Label Macros when on a button of a fader? Like shown fader 10 has macro 6 on a button and in macro config it is named. Would be easier because then you do not have to remember what macro 6 was.

Thanks

Lars

  • +1 for this! I have a base file with up to 4 fader pages just for macros if I'm in a space with a 2x20 fader wing, and I print my own labels because the Ion won't even put an indicator light on a fader unless the fader itself is mapped. I'd love it if a fader could be labeled instead of just its targets, and if you could choose which label was displayed on the fader wing. That said, here's the workaround that I've found if you want to assign macros (but not a target) to a fader: Assigning a dummy submaster to that fader and mapping your macros to that submaster lets you label the submaster, and adds a green or red indicator light to that fader, depending on whether the dummy submaster is additive or inhibitive. If you're clever about writing macros that remap faders, then you can do things like write a macro that switches you into another user and turns the indicator light red, and then a macro that switches you back into user 1 and turns the light green.
