Maintain Target Values when Copying to Separate Magic Sheets

Right now, when I copy channels, groups, etc. to a new magic sheet, it simply changes the Target values to the next available number, but I can't think of a scenario where I want that. 9/10 times I want to copy those objects with the same target to a new magic sheet and edit from there and the other 1/10 times, I'm going to input custom targets anyway. This would significantly speed up tabbed magic sheet pages where much of the information stays the same.

  • I know what you are going through.
Here is a second and third work around.

    - copy the hole Magic Sheet, this will keep all the objects the same as the source

    - if you go to the pointertool and set the increment to "0" the copys stay the same.

  • If you put those objects into a group before you move the, the target assignment will persist. Also if you're doing this for color palettes and/or navigation menus, you might want to consider breaking up your screen and have those specific targets always persist between magic sheet moves -- it avoids unnecessary redraws, but especially when you update those elements, you don't need to go back and fix it in multiple places.
