Request: pressing [data] should cycle between preset, palette, and absolute data

I have data recorded into palettes and presets. The live table shows the presets and palettes the channels are receiving data from. When I press and hold [data], or press shift&[data], the parameters showing the presets change to showing the palette data. There's currently no way to show the absolute data in the live table display. If there is preset and palette data for a channel, pressing [data] should toggle between showing the preset, the palette, and the absolute data.

Single pressing [data] should toggle views the same way [format] and [flexi] do.

  • I would maybe do (shift)(data) as a way to quickly see the hard data (while the buttons are held) and pressing data as a way to toggle between presets, palettes, and hard data. I don’t use nested palettes much as a film person but I do use the data button very often to look at hard data

  • There has been a long standing need to better expose data in nested palettes, as about is too granular and too slow.    I'm not sure using a three way toggle is the best way to do it though.     You typically need this information in a hurry.  Having worked with the patch toggle between EDMX to Port/offset to method patched ..... it's a little on the slow side and perhaps not ideally suited to "programming in anger."   But thanks for bringing it up.    We do need to solve this so a prompt is always welcome.    Will advise of solution - and it may be this if we can't come up with anything more deterministic.

    Thanks!!
