Solo/hilight button

Coming from Light Jockey and Onyx, I find the solo function really useful. I was really surprised when I took the Eos class and asked about it and found out it doesn’t exist. It seems like a super simple feature to implement.

  • I have a highlight button and a highlight remdim button, and a macro that can swap the highlight preset if needed.
You could also always pull down the grandmaster fader and capture the channel you want to work on.

  • Mathilda, yes you are right. Not clear that the command line during remdim works : that's what I'm looking for with FCB parameters. But you can't change the intensity, because it removes the remdim command.

Ueliriegg: as Mathilda said the Highlight remdim changes the intensity of the selected channel. And sometimes I need to highlight a channel without remdim. That's why it would be nice to have 2 separate functions.

  • But,   as far as i know, you can't automaticaly have the Background intensity of a randomly selected light.
Because Highlight is pulling the intensity from a prerecorded Preset, the Default Value or you set it manualy with [Highlight] @ <value>.

RemDim on the other hand is respecting the currently set Int-Value.

For everything else, i will definitly be on your side that Highlight is a very good way to go.

You can prove me wrong with the Intensity ; )

  • You're looking for Highlight RemDim, which can also be activated in setup to be the regular highlight working mode.

  • RemDim can be some times not to easy, but as long as you do not clear your commandline, you can simply hit [RemDim] again and every thing is reverted to before.
