The OP's request is that parameter values generated by effects are recordable while the effect is still applied to the parameters.
His workflow is using an Effect Sub to run an effect and pause the effect by pulling down the fader. The resulting look (parameter values, but not the fact that an effect is present) should be recordable to cues, presets and palettes, without having to stop the effect (using Stop&Hold exit behavior).
